So for 12 miles in Northern New Hampshire there is a roadway called Moose Alley. The road goes from Pittsburgh, NH to the Canadian Border. We took our Miata from our campground in Compton, Quebec and headed to New Hampshire and crossed a small corner of Vermont. There was a house fire on the way so we had to detour through side roads that were gravel and because we were in Canada the roads go straight up the hill, one of which had a 20% incline.

New Hampshire had great vacation cabins in the woods and along the lakes. We passed Connecticut Lake 1 & 2. We stopped at Lake Francis State Park for lunch and continued to the border. We turned around and took the road south this time we stopped at rivers as they crossed the road. Since it was the middle of the day we knew it was unlikely that we would actually see any moose. We couldn't find any marshy areas which might have had a moose since it was warm. We did enjoy our drive. When we crossed back into Canada we again had to take a detour around the house fire. This time we saw where the fire department had a tent set up so they could take turns and cool off. We again took gravel roads that went straight up and down again. We did find an ice cream factory that was swarmed with people. We did stop to try there wares. I had amazing salted caramel and cherry amaretto.

We got back to the campground and cooled off with a dunk in the pool.

All in all a great day and we will look elsewhere for moose!
