Near Elkhart we extended our stay so we could visit and tour a. Motor Coach manufacturer. When we showed up at Newmar Friday morning we discovered that since sales are down, they don’t have anyone working on Friday. The one down, no tours.

We went to the RV museum. Quite a disappointment. While it was a little interesting to see old rv’s and early ideas, the displays were dated and needed serious upgrades.

So what else to do? On the way back to our campsite we drove through Notre Dame University. What a beautiful campus. Even the new buildings going up are being built to match the old buildings. We got free parking to go see the grotto built as a scale model of Lourdes. Having had relatives that attended I appreciated seeing the campus.

Since we were camping in Mich. I was able to get vernors at the local grocery store! The town we were in Buchanan, hosts a national dirt bike race earlier in July.

We stopped in Lake Geneva and visited Kev’s cousin Jay and his wife Krystina. We had a wonderful lunch. Thx! We also got to see the results of their renovation. They took the house to the studs and lifted it 20’ in order to dig a basement. A multi year labor of love! The attention to detail throughout the house is incredible.

On Sunday, our friends Gary and Lynn Greinert came to visit. We went to lunch at a local restaurant on the lake, sitting outside with live music! What better way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon!
